Hmmmm? What if one day you wake up for your normal morning routine and you noticed that you could not stand up. Your body has no structure and you have no control of your body functions. Just think you would be a puddle of jello. This is when anatomy and physiology comes into play. Anatomy is the structure of body parts which is also called Morphology which mainly describes the body's structures, composition, and location. Anatomy is broken down into two major fields; 1. Gross anatomy which is the study of large visible structures. 2. Microscopic anatomy which is the study of structures that are too small to see, such as cells and molecules. Microscopic anatomy is also divided into two major divisions; 1. Cytology is the study of cells and their structures. 2. Histology is the study of tissues and their structures. Physiology is the function of the body parts, meaning what they do and how they do it. Physiology is divided into four parts which are; cell physiology, special physiology, systemic physiology, and pathological physiology. Anatomy and physiology goes into much detail from levels of organization to how to cut properly during dissections.  Over all anatomy and physiology go hand and hand with each other.
